One person is dead following a Christmas Eve house fire in Bladenboro
Bladenboro, N.C. (WWAY) — In the morning of Christmas Eve , one person died in a house fire in Bladenboro, according to the Bladenboro Fire Department.
The Bladenboro Fire Department says Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire on NC Highway 131 in Bladenboro, North Carolina on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 24, and found an active fire involving a residential structure. First responders worked to extinguish the fire while conducting EMS operations.
According to the Bladenboro Fire Department, three people were in the residence at the time of the fire. One person was transported to a local Hospital, and one was not transported. The identity of the person who died has not been released at this time.
The Bladen County Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The Bladenboro Fire Department says they are working in cooperation with the appropriate investigative authorities to determine the origin and circumstances surrounding the incident.
