One person hurt in Wilmington morning shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department are looking for the person responsible for a shooting.

Dispatchers said they received a call around 9:45 a.m. in the area of Ann and 11th streets, near Williston Middle School. They said they were also informed by New Hanover Regional Medical Center of a patient with a gunshot wound. There’s no word on the condition of the person shot.

WPD is investigating. This is the second reported shooting in Wilmington in the past 12 hours.
