One suspect arrested, another wanted on drug and gun charges

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — After one arrest, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a second suspect wanted on drug and gun charges.

26-year-old Latreese Cherika Felencia Vereen, of Whiteville, is wanted after deputies searched a home on Twin Pines Road on September 9.

Investigators allegedly found cocaine and multiple weapons inside.

On Tuesday, US Marshals arrested one of the suspects, Marquez Cherry.

Cherry was also wanted for questioning in connection with a triple homicide in Columbus County.
