ONLY ON 3: Cars crash into Wilmington home

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two people have been sent to the hospital after two cars crashed into a home at the corner of Ninth and Wooster in Wilmington.

A blue sedan, with only its driver inside, was trying to cross Wooster when a gold SUV, with a driver and three passengers, crashed into the car. The cars collided with each other and the front porch of Charlie Clark’s home.

Clark’s wife was sent to the hospital after being thrown off the couch from the impact. The driver of the blue car was also sent to the hospital.

“I was on the couch and was knocked off from the impact,” home owner Charlie Clark said. “I thought it was thunder at first, and then there was lots of glass flying over the floor.”

Clark said he is frightened and shaken up but glad everyone is ok.
