ONLY ON 3: Pantano opts out of on-camera interview regarding puppy adoption
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – After lobbing the initial volley calling a puppy rescuer in New Jersey a “liberal activists” and claiming she was harassing him and his family over two puppies they adopted, Ilario Pantano opted out of an on-camera follow-up interview today and instead issued this email statement:
“At this time my focus is on the real suffering and loss that has afflicted our friends and neighbors here in South Eastern North Carolina as well as the important national debate that is occurring in Washington about our national budget and the debt crisis our country is facing. I ask everyone to join my family and I in praying for those affected by the tornadoes and in praying for our nation’s leaders in Washington as they chart the course for the future of our country. ”
“The Pantano Family stands behind our earlier statement on the lawful purchase of our puppies, and we will continue to provide them with a loving, caring home. Ms. Yorke’s recent attempt to portray herself in a positive light is a response to the outpouring of support that my family has received in light of her slanderous attacks. We greatly appreciate the support we have received from our local community and from around the country.”
