Onslow County man makes first court appearance for murder of neighbor
A suspect in the murder of a seventy-two year old Onslow County man made his first appearance in court Tuesday.
William A. Littleton, 45, is accused of killing his older neighbor, Luther Kaemming.
According to the medical examiner at Onslow Memorial Hospital, Kaemming was shot three times.
Police reported that a reliable witness said Littleton told him last October, he was going to shoot Kaemming because he didn’t believe the court was going to resolve an ongoing property dispute between the two men.
Another witness said that Littleton told him yesterday he was going to kill Kaemming, just hours before the shooting occurred.
Littleton was arrested at the scene. The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office had responded to arguments at the Gibson Branch Road scene at least eight times in the past two years.
