Onslow County man arrested for shooting mother, killing sister

ONSLOW COUNTY — Onslow County Sheriff deputies have arrested a man for murdering his sister and for trying to kill his mother.

It happened Wednesday night at Countryside Mobile Home Park on Harris Creek Loop Road.

Deputies say 35-year-old Dennis Connolley Jr. shot both his mother, Gloria Connolley, and his sister, Victoria Jean Baker. His sister died.

An autopsy confirms she died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.

His mother was treated and released from Onslow Memorial.
