Orange Street Arts Festival draws thousands
WILMINGTON — Orange Street was transformed into an outdoor art gallery this weekend. The 13th annual Orange Street Arts Festival featured the work of more than 70 artists.
The Thalian Association sponsored the event, which drew an estimated five-thousand people over the course of the weekend.
The artists were required to hand-make all of the featured artwork, which included paintings, jewelry, woodwork, and more.
Penny Pridemore from the Thalian Association said, “It’s the biggest year for artists that we’ve had, it’s the biggest number of artists and beautiful work. I’m very impressed by the level of the artwork that we’ve had this year, it’s the most impressive artwork I’ve seen at the festival.
