Overturned 18-wheeler causing traffic delays near Southport

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — First responders are on the scene of an overturned 18-wheeler near Southport this morning.

Southport Police Department says the crash happened in the 1600 block of Howe Street.

Police are currently on scene directing traffic and are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.

There is no word on if anyone was injured at this time.
