Pair of fundraisers help Habitat for Humanity

There are a couple of events going on this week to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Wilmington Professional Stagers, Habitat for Humanity, and Stevens Homes joined forces for a fundraiser in Leland today.

Visitors could buy items on display inside the home, collected from the Habitat store and local consignment shops.

It was a way to decorate your home for cheap while supporting a good cause.

“We have shown people also that they can go to the consignment shops and create all sorts of wonderful things for their homes and decorating on a shoe string,” said Pat McCartan of the Wilmington Professional Stagers.

Proceeds from items sold will go back to Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for low-income families.

WWAY’s Ann McAdams is taking part in a fashion show fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity on Wednesday. There are two shows, over lunch, at Carrabbas, beginning at 11 am and 1 pm.

Tickets are 20 dollars.
