Panthers suite items for sale to help Habitat For Humanity
CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) — The Carolina Panthers are cleaning house so that a low-income family will have a chance to live in a home of their own.
The Charlotte Observer reports the Panthers have removed more than 1,000 tables, chairs, stools, sofas and mini-fridges from the 158 luxury suites for renovations to Bank of America Stadium.
Habitat for Humanity intends to put the items up for sale to the public starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. Proceeds will help pay for building Habitat houses for low-income homebuyers.
The nonprofit’s ReStore on Wendover Road in east Charlotte will get the pick of the furniture. However, because of the volume, ReStores in surrounding counties also will get a share of Panther items.
