Parents, WPD ask for help finding missing teen

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington family is asking for help finding a missing 16-year-old girl.

Detectives with the Wilmington Police Department believe Cierra Persico is not in apparent danger at this time, but they are asking for the community’s help finding her.

“Our biggest concern is for Cierra’s safety,” her father Rudy Persico said in a statement. “Regardless of who she’s with or what she has been doing – her mom and I just want her home. She is a good young lady and has never done anything like this before. We are asking anyone in the community with any information on her whereabouts to please contact the Police Department and help us get our daughter home.”

Cierra was last seen Friday at her home off Warlick Drive. She was wearing a black flowered dress and black boots. She’s 5’4 120lbs with long brown hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wilmington Police Department at (910) 343-3609 or use Text-a-Tip.
