Paul raises millions in 24-hour effort
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Ron Paul’s latest drive for campaign cash has collected even more money than the last one.
Donations to the Republican presidential candidate had topped $6 million by midnight, according to his campaign Web site. The campaign’s previous fundraiser brought in $4.2 million.
The idea of the effort called a “Money Bomb” was to raise as much money as possible on the Internet in one day to boost the presidential bid of the 10-term Texas congressman.
