Pender Co. Sheriff: Man charged with sexually assaulting 16-year-old girl

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Hillsborough man was arrested in Pender County Thursday after police say he sexually assaulted a teenager.

58-year-old Robert A. Lee is charged for a sexual assault that happened in June involving a 16-year-old female.

Lee was arrested at his home in Hillsborough by investigators with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Lee is charged with one count of felony Second-Degree Forcible Sexual Offense, one count of misdemeanor Sexual Battery and one count of misdemeanor Assault on a Female.

Lee in the Pender County Jail under a secured bond of $150,000.
