Pedestrian hit on Dawson Street UPDATE

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police said a person was hit by a car in the 1400 block of Dawson Street.

The call was dispatched this afternoon at 2:36 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The victim, Liwun Simon, 42, of Wilmington was crossing Dawson Street when he was struck by two vehicles.

Simon was transported to the hospital. His injuries are serious at this time.

WPD said the driver remained on scene.

The Investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed at this time.
