Pender Co. man accused of stabbing roommate Halloween night

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County man is behind bars and facing charges after deputies say he stabbed his roommate on Halloween night.

The Pender County Sheriff’s Office says 63-year-old Edmond Ray Ross stabbed his roommate, Jamie Gunn,  in the abdomen around 10:30 Tuesday night on Tasha Lane in Burgaw.

Ross was arrested for felony assault inflicting serious injury and assault with a deadly weapon.

The sheriff’s office says alcohol and drugs were involved.

They say Ross is in jail under no bond.
