Rocky Point man facing rape charges

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man on rape charges.

Jail records show Michael Allen Simmons was arrested yesterday on charges including second degree rape. He was booked in the Pender County Jail under a $350,000 bond.

Deputies said the offense happened in October of last year.  He’s due in court January 13.
