Two suspects wanted after man found beaten in ditch after robbery


PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies in Pender County are asking for help after a man was found severely beaten in a ditch.

Investigators say just before 1 p.m. they responded to a report of a man lying in a ditch. They found Jeffrey Daniel Seiverling of Maple Hill. He told investigators he had been beaten and robbed of his wallet and cash a couple hours earlier.

The sheriff’s office says the robbery happened near Joshua James Road and Cypress Creek Road in the Maple Hill community at about 10:30 am.

Investigators say the suspects are two black males in their 20s. They say one has dreadlocks and the other has short hair. They were driving a white Kia with damage to the front bumper.
