Pender County investigating armed robbery at Family Dollar

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another armed robbery at the Family Dollar in Atkinson.

It happened this morning at 8:30.

The Sheriff’s Office says one person wearing a hooded sweatshirt walked in with a gun.

They took money and ran out of the store.

A K9 was brought in to try and track down the robber, but investigators believe the person got into a car and left the area.

The Sheriff’s Office says this same Family Dollar was robbed around 6 weeks ago.
