Pender County woman convicted of kidnapping her children from bus stop

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – The woman who kidnapped her children and drove to South Carolina will receive probation.

Nikcole Legeria Pratt, 32, pleaded guilty to two counts of felony custody violations.  In August, Pratt went to the bus stop and drove off with her two children. The children were in the custody of the Department of Social Services at the time. Amber Alerts were issued for both children.

She was arrested in South Carolina and extradited to North Carolina. The children were safe and returned to foster care.

Judge Parsons sentenced Pratt to a 6-17 months suspended sentence and 18 months supervised probation.
