Pender High football pausing following positive COVID test

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — The Pender High School football program is pausing all activities following a positive COVID-19 test result and related exposures within the program.

The Patriots (1-1) will cancel their Friday game against Wallace-Rose Hill.

The program will reassess next week, with hopes of returning to the field on Friday, September 17 to host Dixon.
