‘Pender-Topsail Post & Voice’ Editor talks headlines, cow chip tossing


BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — Andy Pettigrew, publisher of ‘Pender-Topsail Post & Voice’ discussed this week’s headlines before the paper hits news stands today.

He says the Pender County Board of Education is looking for a new member.

After the resignation of Tom Roper, the Board is taking applications to fill the position.

Interested people must live in Education District 1 to qualify and applications are being taken until May 17.

He also discussed the Burgaw Spring Fest which was a huge success this year.

The paper features WWAY’s Good Morning Carolina anchor Randy Aldridge participating in the Cow Chip Toss.  No, he didn’t win.
