Pender County residents honored for their volunteerism

The state honored some Pender County residents for their volunteerism.

Priscilla Tyree, Donna Grinbergs and Suzette Faldzinski received the Governor’s Award for Volunteer of the Year.

Riley’s Creek Baptist Church Disaster Team and the Burgaw Baptist Church also received recognition.

The Governor’s Award is presented annually to individuals, groups and businesses that make a significant contribution to their community, in this case, through volunteer service.
