Penderlea Middle School student charged with threat

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A 13-year-old student at Penderlea Middle School was charged this afternoon following an investigation where the student allegedly told other students about a threat.

The incident happened inside a classroom today during school hours.

The student has been charged with making a false report of mass violence on educational property.
