People react to the continuing fight in the NC governor race
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Pat McCrory and Roy Cooper are still battling it out for the title of governor. Most of the people we spoke with tonight said they are ready for the race for governor to end and they hope that day comes sooner rather than later.
After Election Day Roy Cooper was leading Pat McCrory in the race for North Carolina governor.
“I think that at the very beginning when it was a very very tight race I completely understand calling for a recount, however I believe that because of the widening gap after the recount I think that it’s time for Governor McCrory to concede,” said Andu Skinner.
Normally a decision is made by November 18, but McCrory is fighting to keep his seat as governor. So far the recount has increased Cooper’s lead.
“If they’ve already started the recount and it’s a greater number than it was the first time I think that’s where the line should be drawn. I mean he lost,” said William Fitch.
Now people said they are ready to move forward and stop disputing this election.
