Perdue to cheer on UNC in person Monday night
Governor Bev Perdue plans to cheer on the University of North Carolina men’s basketball team in person Monday night.
The governor bought tickets from UNC for the NCAA championship game against Michigan State. Perdue will fly to Detroit on a private jet and will not spend state money for her travel or tickets.
She also made a wager on the game with Michigan’s governor. The loser must wear the winning team’s jersey and hat while eating food from the winning state and donate $100 to a food bank to the other state.
