WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A digital forensics investigator testified Wednesday in the double-murder trial of Omonte Bell and Dyrell Green, walking jurors through an analysis of four cell phones seized during the investigation into the deaths of Briyanna Williams and Koredreese Tyson.

Bell and Green are charged in connection with the 2021 killings, which prosecutors say occurred at the home of George Taylor III, the chief operating officer of Tru Colors Brewing. The Wilmington-based brewery gained national attention for employing active gang members before closing in 2022.

The testimony came one day after a judge ruled the investigator could testify as an expert witness, rejecting defense challenges to his qualifications and methodology.

During Wednesday’s proceedings, prosecutors used the investigator’s analysis to review data extracted from four cell phones collected during the investigation. According to testimony, one of the phones was associated with Bell, two were linked to Green, and a fourth was connected to Raquel Adams.

Adams was convicted in 2025 in connection with the deaths of Williams and Tyson.

Prosecutors are using the phone records and digital evidence in an effort to place the defendants at the scene of the killings and establish their alleged involvement in the crime.

The trial is scheduled to resume on Thursday.
