Pigs, hogs outnumber humans in NC

Pigs and hogs still outnumber people in North Carolina.

The US Census Bureau released updated statistics Thursday that show 9.5 million pigs and hogs were living in North Carolina last year. That’s compared with 9 million people living in the Tar Heel state.

We’re second only to Iowa, where about 17 million pigs reside.
