Pilot involved in crash dies

There is more information in the plane crash that killed a Burgaw man.

80-year old Glenn Moore was flying his single engine plane that he built around one o’clock Thursday afternoon. The plane went down just off John Humphrey Road, not far from Stag Air Park where witnesses say Moore may have been trying to land.

Moore is a mechanical engineer. His wife tells us he had been flying for the past 55 years.
The National Transportation Safety Board is now heading the investigation.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife Catherine, 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
