Plane lands on NC school field; no one hurt

BREVARD, N.C. (AP) – Authorities say the pilot of a small plane walked away unhurt after his aircraft crash-landed on a soccer field at Brevard Elementary School.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the single-engine Cessna 182 lost power around 4:40 p.m. Thursday.

Officials say the aircraft was traveling from an airport in Georgia to Roanoke, Va.
