Planning Commission continues talks about future of Wilmington food trucks

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Among several proposals discussed at the Wilmington Planning Commission’s meeting Wednesday night, the talks will continue about the future of food trucks and their place within city limits.

The commission discussed a proposal that would allow the trucks to operate throughout the city’s non-residential zoning districts from 6 a.m. until 3 a.m. It would keep the trucks from setting up within 50 feet of the main entrance of an open restaurant.

The planning commission will talk food trucks again July 10.
