Plans for downtown hotel hit speed bump with city council
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The developer for a downtown hotel was in disagreement with Wilmington City Council Tuesday night over plans for the building’s development.
The plans call for an encroachment of about ten feet in overhangs that would go into the public right of way on Nutt Street.
Several members of city council were upset by the plans, saying if they approve the plans for the Hotel Indigo, it could lead to a slippery slope of approving other developers plans. City council decided to continue the item.
