Plants going to need protection from chilly temperatures Tuesday night

The possibility of freezing temperatures overnight means plants you may have just put in the ground are in danger.

The warm weather had many people planting plants and flowers, but now those same plants and flowers need protecting. Experts say get the cloth ready, especially for young leaves on new plants.

“Bed sheets, blankets, nursery cloth. Stay away from plastic, plastic can do more damage,” said gardening expert Al Falzone who added small-tight buds will be ok.

Don’t forget, when the sun comes out during the day, to take the coverings off.
