Pleasure Island lights up the streets in parade fashion

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) —  Thousands of people headed to Pleasure Island to get in the holiday spirit on Friday night!

The Pleasure Island…Island of Lights festival is underway and tonight was the Christmas parade. It may have been a cold but that didn’t stop everyone from wearing festive colors for the annual event.

Saturday, at 6pm, the Island of Lights celebration continues with the flotilla on the Intracoastal Waterway. Boats will be decorated and judged on their creativity.
