Police arrest man they say shot at several people on porch Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police arrested a man they say shot at several people standing on the front porch of their home Friday night.

Police say after a brief investigation, officers arrested Michael Miller, 22, on outstanding warrants for firing shots at a group of five people in the 1300 block of Greenfield Street just after 8 p.m. on October 10.

They say Miller faces charges for five counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, communicating threats, and according to the jail website, he is also charged with discharging a firearm in a reckless manner.

Miller is behind bars in the New Hanover County Jail under $250,000 bond, awaiting his first court appearance today.
