Police Chief: Neighbor killed 3 kids, ages one, five and 12
NEW BERN, NC (WCTI) — The New Bern Police Chief confirmed an 18-year-old Burmese man is under arrest for the murders of three children who police say are his neighbors.
New Bern Police Chief Toussaint Summers says the Burmese children are ages one, five and 12. They were stabbed to death on the 800 block Pasteur Street near the intersection of Queen Street on New Bern. That is near the old train depot, according to police.
Chief Summers identifies the suspect as Eh Lar Doh Htoo, 18, of Pasteur Street in New Bern. At this time, Htoo is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held on $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
