Police continue search for second suspect after weekend chase, shots
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police continue to search for the second suspect involved in the shooting at Empie Park Saturday night and are asking for your help to identify him.
Police arrested Greer Old, 22, Saturday night. He is believed to be the person who fired shots at officers during the foot chase.

Police say the second suspect was last seen near Empie Park, running east toward Wrightsville Avenue. Police don’t believe there is an imminent threat to the public, but consider the unidentified suspect to be possibly armed and dangerous.
WPD has broadened its search to both New Hanover and Brunswick counties.

Old faces multiple charges including fleeing to elude, firearm by felon, possession of stolen firearms and assault on a government official with the intent to kill.
Old appeared in court Monday afternoon by video from jail.

A judge appointed the Public Defender’s office to Old’s case and and denied his request to reduce his $500,000 bond.
