Police identify man who died after being hit by three cars

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have identified a man who died after he was hit by three vehicles.

Investigators say Wilfred Leo Antone Jr. of Castle Hayne was riding his bike near the intersection of N. 23rd Street and Scientific Park Drive early Sunday morning when he was hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say so far there are no charges in this incident. A police spokeswoman said the original call came in for a crash involving a moped in a dark area when it was hit.
