Police investigate after man robs Wilmington Kangaroo at knifepoint

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say a man got away with cash when he robbed a Wilmington Kangaroo gas station with a knife Sunday night.

It happened at the Kangaroo Express at 6480 Market Street around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. That’s where police say a man in his 20s or 30s walked into the store with a knife, demanding cash from the clerk.

Officers say when the man got the cash he wanted, he took off running near the car wash at the store. Wilmington Police are still investigating, but say no one was hurt during the crime.
