Police investigate shooting at Wilmington hotel

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A shooting early this morning sent one man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Wilmington Police say around 6 a.m. they responded to the Budgetel Inn on Market Street. Witnesses told police they heard two men arguing outside and then gunfire. When police arrived they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The 33-year-old victim underwent surgery at the hospital today. There is no word on his current condition.
