Police investigating after shots fired outside of food mart

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police responded to a shots fired call around 9:00 p.m. Monday.

When police arrived at 3016 Princess Place Drive, they found six shell casings.

Wilmington Police spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay said witnesses say two black males appeared to be shooting at someone standing in front of A & J Foodmart. They got into an SUV and drove away.

Lindsay said there was no victim at the scene.
