Police investigating deadly Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead Tuesday evening.

WPD responded to the 700 block of North 11th Street around 7:30 pm after receiving a ShotSpotter notification of several rounds fired in that area.

Police say the victim died at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
