Police investigating shots fired in 3 different locations
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after shots were fired in three different places early Friday morning.
New Hanover County dispatchers said ShotSpotter activations alerted them to the scenes. They said the first came in at 4:56 a.m. in the 500 block of South 9th Street, where four shots were fired.
The second ShotSpotter alert came in just a minute later in the 700 block of Church Street, where one round was fired. Then the third shot was fired 10 minutes later in the 500 block of Greenfield Street.
Dispatchers said police cleared the scenes, but that they did find shell casings at the last location.
We’re waiting to hear back from WPD to get more information.
