Police: Leland man arrested after robbing business with a knife
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police arrested a man they say robbed a business with a knife Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to the Shoe Department after a report of an armed robbery around 12:30 p.m.
Officers were advised of the male suspect who was later identified as Jared Lamar Galloway. They say he was armed with a knife and was last seen entering Wal-Mart.
Officers found him inside Wal-Mart shortly after where he was taken into custody without incident.
Officers recovered the weapon and money.
Galloway has been charged with armed robbery and 2nd degree kidnapping. He is currently in the Brunswick County Jail.
