Police looking for driver, car after pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is dead after a hit-and-run crash tonight on Military Cutoff Road.

Wilmington Police say the 58-year-old man was pushing a shopping cart across the 200 block of Military Cutoff Road at 8:39 p.m. when he was hit by a small, dark-colored sedan.

A witness told police the car had a delivery sign on its roof. Investigators say the car should have significant front end damage.

Police have not yet released the victim’s name.
