Police looking for group of red bandana robbers


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department are looking for a group of young men with guns who robbed a man overnight.

Police said it happened in the 1100 block of Castle Street around 12:30 a.m. They said a man at New Hanover Regional Medical Center reported a group of five males who he said were about high school age robbed him. Police said the group hit the man with one of their guns and took cash and other items.

The victim described the five men as teenage black males all wearing red bandanas. Anyone with information is asked to call WPD.
