Police looking for trio after armed robbery at used car dealer
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are searching for a trio they say robbed a Wilmington used car dealership at gunpoint yesterday afternoon.
Wilmington Police say it happened at 2 p.m. at Graham & Neal Motors Inc. at 4802 Market Street. That’s where officers say two men entered the business with black bandannas covering their faces.
Police say one of the robbers pointed a gun at an employee, demanding cash. Officers say after the two stole money and a cell phone from the business, they took off running outside, where another suspect was waiting in a gold-colored Nissan Altima.
They say the trio drove off from the scene, heading south on New Bern Street. Police say they found the cell phone one of the robbers stole outside on the ground near the business. WPD is still investigating.
