Police make arrest in apartment shooting that injured a child
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Over the weekend, Wilmington police arrested one of the men they say was involved in a shooting at New Hanover Village apartments.
Anthony Mikhail Andrews, 20, was arrested on Saturday.
The shooting happened Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses told police that they saw a black male and a Hispanic male using a gun during the dispute. Several apartments were hit by stray bullets, one of which caused a 7 year old girl to be slightly injured from flying glass. No one else got hurt.
Several people called 911 about the shooting, including the aunt of a child who was hit by debris.
Andrews is in jail under a $750,000 bond.
No word yet on the other man who was involved.
