Police: Man & dog hit by bullets after shots fired into home

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say a Wilmington man and his dog were both grazed by bullets when someone fired several shots into a home last night.

Wilmington Police say around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, a ShotSpotter activation alerted officers of shots fired in the 200 block of N. 6th Street. That’s where officers say they found three victims, who told them that several shots were fired into their home.

Police say a man in his 50s and his dog were both grazed by bullets, but are expected to be OK. WPD says they are still investigating the crime, and ask anyone with information to call them at (910)343-3609, or Text-a-Tip.
