Police: Man in critical condition after assault outside City Limits Saloon

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say a man is in critical condition after an assault outside of City Limits Saloon downtown this weekend.

A police spokeswoman said deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded to 22 South Front Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. She said two victims were on the ground and one was bleeding heavily.

Police said a good Samaritan was helping before the victim was rushed to the ER at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Police said they do not have a suspect and the victim is in critical condition.

The names of the victims have not been released.
